Shah Rukh: 'We ought to globalise Bollywood
Shah Rukh Khan has said that Indian filmmakers
should really stop creating crossover films.

The actor told IANS that the film
industry must focus more on the transnational spread of Bollywood productions.

"It disturbs me that all Indian filmmakers are chasing an elusive dream of crossover cinema," Khan said at the India
Nowadays Conclave in Delhi on Friday.

The Kal Ho Naa Ho star argued: "There is
absolutely nothing recognized as a crossover film. If there would have been one, our smarter cousins, Hollywood, would have produced crossover films in America and taken over the Indian film business.

"We
must believe of taking over, we ought to be thinking of globalising Bollywood."

Khan's 2010 project My Name Is Khan became the highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas
immediately after it released in Hindi and international versions
